I had a great great birthday! I got some makeup and some new clothing and new coloring books!
I have really gotten into coloring in coloring books...but not like....just random colors and such...I have suddenly found this amazing thing and figured out how to use my prismacolor markers and then use my prismacolor pencils over that to shade Q.Q I am so proud of myself! I am like....shading without a computer and -snuffles- all cause you helped me to learn how to shade and such .w.
I should probably upload some images....even though it is just coloring book stuffles and I did not do the lines, it took me two days for one just because the lines are SO tiny to color in!
Next I have to get better and drawing on paper like I used to, before shaky hands xD and then I can actually color them now!

My mom loves colouring books too, they're really complex and more meant for adults (I'm sure a kid would enjoy them too though lol). She finds it very relaxing.

Also that's awesome, you should also try Copic markers, apparently they're kinda like water colour but as a marker.

Yea, they are adult and have tiny lines to fill in to it can be difficult and makes you focus so it relaxes me. And I have thought some about the copic markers, but I mainly use the prismacolors as a base since when you use colored pencils you always have those little white spots in the piece unless you put a bunch of pressure on the pencil. So I can use the marker to make an even base color and get rid of the white, and then use the pencils to add the shading, a colorless blender to make it look smoother, and then a white gel pen for striking white highlights (when I get one x3)
